East Kilbride Credit Union is a financial co-operative owned and controlled by its members, who either live or work in East Kilbride or Strathaven (ML10/6).  The members save regularly and create a fund to make loans available to each other at a fair rate of interest.

East Kilbride Credit Union Ltd was registered in September 1982 to provide accessible savings and borrowing facilities to the people of East Kilbride.  Over 10,000 residents of East Kilbride have already made use of these services.

Also available to our credit union members are our free life insurance and loan protection and our thriving junior account, we currently have 600 junior members.

The Credit Union is controlled by a Board of Directors elected from the membership and is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Manager and a dedicated staff & volunteer team.

East Kilbride Credit Union is registered under the Credit Union Act 1979. Credit Unions are Authorised & Regulated by the Financial Services Authority and are covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service the same as banks and building societies.
