Borrowing with East Kilbride Credit Union.

Loans are only available to members who are aged 18 or over. All loans are based on share to loan ratio, length of membership and the ability to repay. No loans are guaranteed and it can take up to one week for a decision to be made on a loan application.

Applying for a Loan

Online - If you have a PIN you can login to the members section and apply online.
By Post - You can download an application form here if you want to print it and return to the office by post.
In Person - You can call into the office during opening hours to speak to a loan officer.

Borrowing Guidelines

For the first three months of membership, members may apply for secure loans only
For the following three months of membership, members may apply for two times their share balance
After six months of membership, members may apply for three times their share balance.

Loan Officers will consider all applications made and may subject them to credit checks. Applications may be referred to the Loan Review Board, which can take up to seven days for a decision to be made.

Collecting Your Loan

If you loan has been approved and is ready for collection you must bring two forms of identification with you.

Without this information your loan will not be paid out.

You will require:

One form of photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence. We will also accept: bus pass, works pass, student cards.
One form of address identification, such as a recent utility bill or bank statement. This must contain your name and address and must be dated within the last three months.
