What to do if you are struggling?
We are aware that the current cost of living crisis is affecting many people, and that we have an uncertain winter ahead with rising food and power bills, along with other things.
If you are struggling to maintain your loan repayments with East Kilbride Credit Union:
1) Come and talk to us
2) We are here to listen and to help
3) Explain your current circumstances and what’s changed
4) We can discuss your options in the short term, such as share to loan transfers if you only need help with one or two payments.
5) If you need help over a longer period, we can discuss a renegotiation* of your loan repayments to something more manageable.
*Renegotiated payments are reviewed every 6 months to ensure they still meet your needs and you aren’t paying over a longer period than necessary.
You can contact a member of the team on 01355 224771 to discuss your repayments, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 or alternatively can email info@ekcreditunion.co.uk, where a member of the team will get back to you.
