On Monday, 11th November, our East Kilbride Credit Union team members Linzi and Sophie visited the South Lanarkshire Council Blantyre Depot to meet with council staff. Their mission was to introduce new team members to the many benefits of joining East Kilbride Credit Union (EKCU) and to support our existing members with our latest offerings, including the new EKCU app and payroll deduction scheme.
Linzi and Sophie engaged with council employees, explaining how EKCU can be a valuable financial partner, offering convenient ways to manage savings and access affordable loan products. Our new mobile app, Sercle, offers members the ability to manage their accounts on the go, providing flexibility and control at their fingertips. Additionally, the payroll deduction scheme, which allows for seamless savings and loan repayments directly from salaries, was a key topic of discussion.
The visit didn’t stop there – Linzi and Sophie were back on the road the following day to the South Lanarkshire Council Langlands Depot, where they continued to share the benefits of EKCU’s products and services. These sessions were also an opportunity to answer questions and assist existing members with setting up or navigating the new app and payroll scheme.
Joining EKCU on both days were our colleagues from Thistle Credit Union and Scotwest Credit Union, as well as representatives from the Citizens Advice Bureau’s Gambling Awareness team. This collaborative approach ensured that council staff received a comprehensive overview of the financial support and resources available to them, with a variety of options tailored to their unique needs.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect directly with council staff, sharing how EKCU can be a partner in their financial wellbeing. For those who missed the visits, don’t worry! EKCU is here to help – reach out to our team to learn more about membership, our new app, or the payroll deduction scheme.
We’re always ready to support you on your financial journey.
